Traders of illicit brew in Central, Kitui put on notice

Traders of illicit brew and owners of gambling machines in Central Kenya and Kitui have been put on notice. Central regional coordinator Wilson Njega said the war on the vices has been intensified in line with the government's directive. He was speaking in Nyandarua county where he led the destruction of gambling machines, bhang and illicit liquor. Elsewhere, Kitui county commissioner Samuel Kimiti said the gambling machines has seen children missing school while others steal money to play the games. He said the machines have also increased the levels of crime. Kimiti warned the business owners that there would be a major crackdown starting at the end of the month.
