On day 2 of the base camp trip, buddy Woolman and I set off on skis across the ice and portages for a day ski trek to explore a chain of 4 lakes. No slush, perfect skiing conditions. Making a fire on snow, boil up and hot lunch on lake 4. Pot is a Primus LiTech that I drilled and installed bail handle brackets with pop rivet, and wire handle. Beautiful day, about -8 to -10C. I never get tired spending winter in the bush like this.
