American soldiers have been overseas fighting in Afghanistan for seven years and Iraq for five years. Many of them are members of the U.S. National Guard, who have behind children unaccustomed to military absenses who need the support and care of more than one parent. Two women in the Washington, DC area stepped in and started a non-profit organization that helps pay for activities of the children who remain behind.
