HD: 2/26/14 NS 224 and NS 749 in central Illinois

Ginger and I were venturing out the NS. As we were on highway 161 going thru Albers, IL NS 224 got a track warrant at milepost 47. So NS 224 was approaching Germantown, IL and I turned left onto this road at milepost 40 to catch NS 224 from there. After I caught NS 224 we continued to go east towards Centralia, IL. Soon as we got to Centralia, IL NS 749 was going over the CN/IC tracks. I thought NS 749 was going to turn west to head to St. Louis but instead it continued on north on the BNSF Beardstown Sub with an NS crew I which were qualified to go on the Beardstown Sub. I went up to Shattuc, IL to get ahead of it. Shattuc also as the CSX tracks which is the old B&O crosses the BNSF Beardstown Sub. After catching NS 749 I went home to hang out with the girlfriend.
