Evolution of the Universe The universe and its functions are the greatest of all wonders. The origin of the universe and the process by which it came into being are a mystery. Living beings began their existence on this earth millions of years ago. The evolution of the earth began long before that. The earth is a satellite of the Sun and there are billions of suns throughout the universe. Each sun has its own satellites. The human mind, so limited in its concept of time and space, is overwhelmed when it attempts to imagine the vastness of the universe, its origin and its function. How did this universe begin? We have seen that the static state first manifested itself as the Akashic Field. This is the energy field tightly packed with basic units of energy. Man's mind cannot even imagine the origin of this energy field and the process by which it came into being. Scientific investigation cannot comprehend it either, because the scientific tools available for investigation are too gross when compared to the Akashic Field.
