Well, hopefully you have already seen my previous vids on snow-flying with the Eurofighter. Those were the 'beautiful' ones. But they were not the 'first ones'... :D

I had very few oportunities to shoot these videos so I had to take the chance whether to go out or not in spite of the bad weather. The thing is, predictions for the next days weren't really good so this might have been my best attempt at getting a scenic flight in the snow this season. Thankfully, weather got more permissive the day after and we managed to record very impressive footage (that you can watch on the links below if you haven't already!) but I decided to give it a try despite the odds. I am more or less used to flying in bad weather so I knew that it could be done.

It was a hard flight though, of course. :)

The flight was performed at the parking for the ski station Grandvalira in Grau Roig (Andorra).

Mind that this flight was performed at 2120m, the air is thinner and colder which makes the flight more difficult to perform from a technical standpoint.

This was the 163rd flight on this airframe.

The jet was running on a Revolectrix BLEND435 HV battery pack.
Li-Po: 8S 3300mAh Li-Po. 2x 4S batts connected in series. 

Ambient temperature was around 0ºC.

The Freewing Eurofighter is one of the most unique foam EDF jets available in the market, featuring all-moving canards and 360º thrust vectoring nozzles, which make this plane an actual aerobatic beast and allowing for advanced post-stall maneuvers like high alpha, hovering, flip turns, cobra and flat spins to mention just a few. The jet is now sold in an upgraded V2 version but this one is still an older V1 airframe.

Bright LED navigation lights and HUD teaser enhance the realism, especially at flights on cloudy days or at dawn/dusk.

It also features an electronic retractable landing gear with all metal shock-absorbing struts and metal trunnions.
