Inside the John W. Smith SFC, whats on the Lockbar face?

UPDATE: John W. Smith answered my email and the verdict is... the lockbar face is CARBODIZED. Gotta so some research now. Obviously I chose to upload this before the review unlike what I said in the video. Anyone who has an idea about what is on the face of the lockbar chime in please. Also took it appart to see if I could remedy a slight side to side wiggle.
