A Catholic priest Wladyslaw Bukowinski was sent In prison to Kazakhstan by the communist commander's office to forget his past life and start a new one.
  
The 13 years, 5 months and 2 days of imprisonment did not change the mind of Fr. Wladyslaw. After finding a work as a watchman at a construction site, he began his pastoral work again and gathered a small but brave community around himself in Karaganda, Kazakhstan.

On September 11, 2016, Fr. Wladislaw Bukovinsky was proclaimed a Blessed.
