This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Nouzha Skalli is reporting her career by evoking events that marked her during her life. Her mother, described as a real fighter, is a widow with seven children when Nouzha is only 9 years old. Feminist activist and defender of the rights of women and children, Nouzha is active in several associations. In 1976, she is among the few women in Morocco to stand in municipal elections. She will wait 21 years before being elected in 1997 for the first time, and will be part of the 0.34% of women elected. She is now proud to represent Morocco at the Arab League.
