Leonardo Da Vinci studied the heart in detail, and it confused him so much that he gave up his anatomical studies. Even today, perhaps only heart specialists truly understand the working of the heart as a pumping mechanism. Archie is a zoologist who asks, 'How hard can it be?' In what may be the first demonstration of its kind published on the web (please comment if you've seen it elsewhere), Archie shows what is really happening inside the body when CPR is performed on a real heart.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
