Record labels claim TONS of my video and almost all back off after I explain why they're wrong, but they KEEP coming trying to TAKE my money. This video is about why they should stop!

NOTE: If you're a record label, call me. And see below. I want to work WITH you!

NOTE: This is not an attack-youtube-cash-grab. There are videos out there like that, and I made sure my title and thumbnail didn't make it sound that way. I'm honestly SUPER grateful that YouTube made it so that ad revenue is reserved during a dispute because record labels used to get to keep all money earned after they made a claim even if they later let it go. I'm super grateful to YouTube for making this change.

I've also tried to make it very clear in this video that I'm not calling out individual record labels. This seems to be an attitude that's spread throughout them and their approaches to educational and reviewer YouTubers.

If you're a record label and watch this, CALL ME! Or EMAIL ME at [email protected]. I want to WORK with you and would LOVE so much to help you sell your songs or merch. You can make WAY more money doing that with me than taking portions of my ad revenue!

Disclaimer: The content of this educational video is covered by fair use. My explanations are transformative and add interpretation and analysis to the original work much as happens when I teach poetry in a university classroom. When I explain songs, I use only the lyrics or short clips of the original song or music video and thus have not hurt this song’s salability or provided a market substitute. All copyright claims will be disputed and appealed. Please see me as your ally in my attempt to use a literary perspective to enable fans to better understand and enjoy your wonderful and interesting piece of music.
