It's so powerful to say "no". I love saying no and have a complete strategy on how to say no. In life and business, time is your most valuable resource. I used to say "yes" to everything, but learned how to say no to optimize my life and happiness. Today, I want to share my favorite strategies on saying no.

* Be wary of tire kickers, people who either intentionally or unintentionally waste your time. Learn how to sense tire kickers and quickly say no to them. Tire kickers can truly waste your time, while giving minimal or no results towards your goals. Learn how to move on quickly, and say no to these time-wasting situations.

* It's ok to be selfish. It's important to be picky in life and invest in yourself. Understand your life and business goals. Anything that does not align towards your goals should be in the no category. Feel comfortable saying no, and practice saying no.

* Learn how and when I say no at work (at my job).

* Learn how and when I say no in my personal life. Tip: I like to place a dollar amount on my personal time. If I don't get an enormous return on something (either in happiness or in money), I will say no.

* Here's what a lot of people get wrong: It's all about how you say no. Don't say no in a rude or awkward way. Your reputation in the marketplace is everything. And, it's just the right thing to be nice to others. Learn how to say no gracefully.

* Even better, learn how to never say no. I leverage the power of the Internet (YouTube, blogging, and social media) so I can help thousands upon thousands of people. These avenues are how I never say no. Even if I cannot help someone directly, I can help them via my online content.

I hope these strategies help. I have said yes far too many times in my life. I have pursued far too many one-off business deals for short-term income, ones that don't have long-term promise. My trial and error over the years has helped me develop a sixth sense for tire kickers. And, it's given me the platform to politely say no, while still having an amazing reputation (and still helping and valuing others).

It's really easy to say no to things that are not directly related to your own goals. Did you know? I use The Five Minute Journal to stay focused on the goals that matter most to me. You may enjoy this video:
