Indonesian officials said the Lion Air jet which crashed on Monday was 'totally destroyed' by the impact while warning that victims' bodies may have been washed away after being torn apart. Divers had been hoping to find a significant section of the plane intact with bodies inside, making recovery efforts easier, but those hopes have now all-but gone. Instead seats, wheels and other bits of fuselage have been found smashed to pieces. Search efforts also continue for the plane's second black box recorder after the first was discovered on Thursday. It is hoped the boxes will solve the mystery of why the nearly-new plane crashed.
