The San Francisco Bay area is famous for the Golden Gate Bridge and, to a lesser extent, the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge, but there are a few other big ones, too. The Carquinez Bridge carries Interstate 80 above the Carquinez Straits, a narrow canal which carries heavy tanker traffict o and from refineries. It's a beautiful view from up high but we had to park half a mile away from the Dead Fish restaurant because it's always so crowded. This means we had to ease down a street on a 30% grade, after we managed to find a parking spot..yikes.
