Mobile Suit Name: MS-06V Arctic Zaku Tank
Story: Well after the One Year War, more specifically December UC 0080, the Zeon forces were still reeling after they had lost, and just bidding their time until they could rise up once again the Federation. But not all soldiers felt that way. One particular man, Frank Pelech, a former corporal in the 507th Mobile Suit Company, used what knowledge he had as a field mechanic, as well as a beat up Zaku Tank, to offer his assistance to those in environments that were harsh to the average joe. His duties included vehicle retrieval, assembly of buildings, and just helping out the earthnoids with what he could. Even though he was a spacenoid, and most spacenoids hated earthnoids with a passion, Frank didn't feel that way, seeing as his ancestors were earthnoids, and he was in a way grateful to have been born, though not so much in this era of war and conflict.

Frank's Zaku Tank was also not your average mobile suit. During the one year war, Zeon was getting desperate to have more mobile suits out on the field, seeing as their Zaku II's were either getting captured or destroyed by the enemy left and right. So the people in charge of mobile suit design started salvaging what they could, often making mobile suits from whatever parts they could find. One product of this was the MS-06V Zaku Tank, which had the locomotion system of a Magella Tank, as well as the upper torso, head, as well as arms, of a Zaku II. The key difference with the arms was the complex manipulators were swapped for a rather simple claw design that would prove to be effective. Some of these suits were used in base construction, as well as others were modified for combat. But this particular mobile suit was dubbed the Arctic Zaku Tank, as it was meant to work in snowy conditions, whereas normal vehicles could not brave the dangers. As also, for a security precaution, this Zaku Tank was painted in a arctic color scheme, in case Federation suits were in the area, and this mobile suit could hide in the cover of the snow storms.

This Zaku Tank would continue to see service until UC 0087, where its ultra compact fusion generator would finally fizzle out, and the brave pilot/mechanic of this mobile suit Frank would salute to his dear friend one last time before he would go on with his life.
