The Dutch-made petrol-powered flying car transforms from a compact three-wheeled car into a helicopter with a large top rotor blade and rear propeller. Its inventors boast drivers can switch from 'driving mode' to 'helicopter mode' in just 10 minutes - and can soar through the air at 112mph. Inside, the vehicle looks like something out of a James Bond film with a futuristic control panel (top right). The PAL-V will be legal to drive and fly in the UK as it will be certified under the European Aviation Safety Agency regulations, with only a pilot and driving licence required. The vehicle, capable of reaching 99mph on land, is equipped with two petrol powered Rotax engines, which can fly non-stop for up to 300 miles. It seats two people (bottom right).
