Just a quickie upload this time, since I'm in Erie, PA (Hi mattbjrs!) on a business trip and almost got turned into chunky salsa on the way here... This truck owned by IPS (Integrated Production Services http://ipsadvantage.com/ U.S. DOT #983342, which - by the way - seems to be invalid) cut me off on I-79 @ the 100MM, 1:04pm, April 4th, 2013. He appears to be talking on a cell-phone. At the time, I was pulling a 48-foot, 27,000lb trailer, and had to jab my breaks so hard that equipment in the trailer was thrown against the forward bulkheads. I was maintaining ~65 MPH. As I approached the slower moving truck ahead of me, I waited for the other tractor trailer to pass me so that I could move into the left lane and pass as well. As you can see, that's not exactly what happened. I'll be sending this video to IPS's corporate offices. There is NO excuse for this kind of driving, whatsoever. Frame-grabs of the trailer license number, DOT number and the driver on his cell phone (not the glint from the chrome apple logo) http://i.imgur.com/bfC0tYa.jpg http://i.imgur.com/NuPLTUb.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Ylzi755.jpg I'm driving a customized Ford F-450, pulling a specialty trailer that is 48' long and approximately 27,000 lbs. This is my normal work truck. Camera is a Kodak Playsport ZX3 mounted to a Panavise suction-cup mount under the rear-view mirror.
