This is a REPLICA of a screen-used 1968 the PLANET of the APES Gorilla Carbine. This non-firing cosplay movie prop is a replica of the "hero" gorilla rifles used in the first classic POTA film. Back in the beginning, us "ape kids" always wanted one of these, but Mattel Toys was only rehashing old cowboy pistols, Winchesters, and Tommy Guns... http://apemania.com/TOYS/ToyMasks&guns.jpeg http://apemania.com/TOYS/WHAT_IT_WASx3.jpg Slapping a Planet of the Apes sticker on a six shooter doesn't make it a Planet of the Apes gun! Who did they think they were kidding? Not us kids! So we made our own!
