While subscribers are an important part of YouTube, I feel the YouTube subscriber count is completely overrated. While a big number of subscribers can mean that a channel is successful, it is not the deciding factor. To make YouTube your full time job and to have success, having a lot of views and a big viewtime is far more important since it also means a higher income which full time youtubers rely on.
