Cabrillo National Monument In San Diego California RV Living Full Time On The Road Tide Pooling

I loved Cabrillo National Monument in San Diego, California. This is a great place to hang out. RV life has been good to me, although I think van life was much better for travel. In this video we take our full time RV living on the road to a gorgeous National Park few know of. 

Cabrillo National Monument is packed with stuff to see and do. I enjoyed the tide pools the most. But, as a history buff tide pooling isn't the only cool thing to go do. The exhibits that spoke about Cabrillo's quest into San Diego Bay being the first despite it being noted a failure by Spain. 

Even you lighthouse fanatics have some fun to have here. The Point Loma Lighthouse is found up on a bluff just above the Cabrillo National Monument visitor center. Back behind the Point Loma Lighthouse you can see out over the Pacific Ocean as the sunsets. Very nice spot for photos. 

The beginning of this RV living full time on the road video has us rolling along Point Loma onto the Point Loma Naval Base. Where we pass by the cemetary before winding along a cliff with a view of the US Navy warships protecting our coastline. 

Once we paid the $15 dollars to take advantage of our tourism opportunity, we rolled up the hill past the visitor center and lighthouse. We wanted to start out at the tide pools because I knew the tide was already rising. 

So, we cruised back down the hill to the Cabrillo National Monument tide pool trail. Here we found a bunch of aquatic life. Including multiple types of aquatic plants, several species of barnacles, a couple of little fish, 4 different types of crabs, an Instagram bikini model getting photographed along the tide pools. Those should have been some great photos. She was very attractive and the background location was just amazing. Smart choice for a photoshoot for sure and many different sea snails. 

After doing our tide pooling we went and saw the actual statue that is of Cabrillo before going in and learning the history behind the facility at the visitor center. 

Once done at the visitor center we took a break sitting on a bench out front prior to heading up the bluff to go view the lighthouse. Once done at the lighthouse we wrapped up our time on the site enjoying the sunset. Talk about how great RV life and van life can be.
