THE LAST WITNESS deals with the true story of the Katyn Massacre and its cover up by both the British and US governments after the Second World War. It also sheds light on the post-war Polish community that remained in the UK as it was not able to return to Poland because it had been given away to the Soviet Union. My own mother was deported from Poland by the Soviet Union and her father, my grandfather, was executed in the Katyn Massacre.

This is the first English-language film that deals directly with the truth surrounding the Katyn Massacre and is not just a Polish story dealing with Polish history but British, European and World history. It is also a story that is very relevant today as it still remains controversial.

The Last Witness premiered theatrically in the UK at the ArtHouse Crouch End in London from 17-23 August, where it was the second most successful film that week after The Guardians, and played at the Phoenix Cinema East Finchley + Q&A on 26 August. Film Birmingham presented the film + Q&A at the Cineworld Fiveways in Birmingham on 3 September and it screened to a full house at the Polish Social and Cultural Association + Q&A in London on 7 September. Further screenings have been confirmed in London, Shrewsbury, Keswick and Lyme Regis and hopefully there will still be more to come. It was also released on digital and DVD on 27 August.
