A shocking number of women and children have been killed in South Africa - many of them at the hands of their boyfriends or men they knew. A significant number of kids have also been reported to have allegedly been killed by their mother's intimate partners. Last week a North West high school pupil was arrested for allegedly stabbing a 7-year-old Grade one pupil to death in Makapanstad after a fallout with the child's older sister. Earlier this week a 28-year-old man who is accused of poisoning his stepdaughter appeared briefly at the Bloemfontein magistrate court. A six-year-old has died after being allegedly poisoned by a step-father about two weeks ago in Bloemfontein. We look deeper into this issue as we continue to observe the 16 days activism against violence on women and children with Prof. Solomon Makola, he is a Psychologist and specialising in helping people to find the meaning and purpose of their lives and has conducted research topic. He joins me from Welkom in the Free State via Skype. For more news, visit: sabcnews.com
