Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton challenged Russians to open up their political systems and embrace dissent. She told university students in Moscow that attacks on journalists and on human rights defenders in Russia threaten progress toward democratic freedoms. At the same time, she said Washington wants a strong partner in Moscow to face future global challenges. VOA's Robert Raffaele has more.
