A tank round fired by American forces killed five children and blinded a three-year-old girl. No More Victims brought her to Orlando, Florida for treatment. She had multiple pieces of micro-shrapnel in both eyes and two detached retinas. The US military refused to provide medical assistance after injuring her.  But private citizens opposed to US militarism brought her to the US, where a skilled retinal surgeon managed to save her eyesight.  Today she is learning to read.
