Minister of Public Utilities, Robert Le Hunte, says TSTT must get into a new business model, or face being totally eradicated. Minister Le Hunte was responding to a matter in the Senate on Tuesday. He said the Telecommunications Company is saddled with a $768 million wage bill, and productivity levels are way below industry standards. Opposition Senator Wade Mark raised the matter of TSTT on the adjournment. He accused the Government of having embarked on a campaign of union busting. Senator Mark produced a list of members of the Communication Workers' Union who are among the 500-plus TSTT employees on the breadline.
