Two dead, police treat as homicide investigation

ELSMERE, Ky. (WKRC) - Police and crime scene investigators spent the day at a house on Merravay Dr. where two people were found dead Wednesday morning.

Police would not release the names of the two people who died because some of their family members had not been notified of their deaths. A family member found the bodies in the home and called another family member who then called 911.

"My husband woke me up said he was looking out the window he said you wouldn't believe all the stuff going on," said Mary Ann Huelsman who lives next door.

Neighbors said a woman lived in the house with her three children - one of whom she was raising for a family member. The children were not harmed. Neighbors said the woman's boyfriend moved in several months ago.

"He gets up and does his thing in the morning, she goes to work and private life I don't have a lot of input on but when I see them out together and from what people say they were happy," said Christy Boleyn, who lives next door.

Neither the police nor the Commonwealth's Attorney were willing to share details about the case.

The police and the Commonwealth's Attorney aren't sharing many details about the case.

"We're treating it as a homicide investigation until we know any different so I can understand obviously any time there's a homicide in anybody's neighborhood neighbors are going to be concerned and rightfully so," said Kenton Co. Commonwealth's Attorney Rob Sanders.

Neighbors are very concerned and they're wondering what happened. They didn't hear anything out of the ordinary Wednesday morning.

"I can't go to sleep at night. I got to wonder what's going on next door is anyone coming back," asked Huelsman.

Autopsies were supposed to be performed Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning. The names of the people who died will be released following the autopsy.
