ASHEVILLE, N.C. -- An orthopedic injury during a weekend is no fun, but it's all too common. But luckily, the emergency room is no longer the only option to get help when you get hurt. A misstep outdoors brought Steven Schell to the Weekend Warriors Clinic at Asheville Orthopaedic Associates inside Mission Health Biltmore Park. "When they do get hurt on the weekend, we're seeing soccer athletes, football athletes, basketball," Dr. Aaron Vaughn said. "All the sports you typically think about, but then you have your hikers and climbers that are in town and out-of-town folks." "I hurt my foot playing flag football and was able to get in here right away," Schell said. Schell was able to get the help he need fast. "We have an X-ray on site, we have an ultrasound machine as well," Vaughn said. "It's used for diagnostic as well as therapeutic."
