Kansas City is moving forward in its plan to replace the Buck O'Neil Bridge. First come short-term fixes to keep the current bridge open while the new one is being built. The new bridge will have a direct connection from 169 to I-35 so drivers no longer have to sit through stoplights and it will be more difficult for pedestrians to walk on the bridge. The city is also moving forward on the framework to pay for the new bridge.
