This is an acoustic song I wrote about age and its irrelevance and subjectivity. Some young people live like trashy adults some older people like clean and excited youths it's all relative.

This is not an acoustic cover of the song We Are Young - Fun. Ft. Janelle Monae (ACOUSTIC) or the official music video.

I improvised the solo so it doesn't have a tab but I have the chords

If you capo 5 it should work like this

Verse Am C D7
Chorus F G Am
Bridge C E7 F G

Lyrics
We Are Young

They say that we are young
But I'm not having much fun .
The day has just begun
I feel like putting out the sun
Like a cheap cigarette and going back to bed
They say that we are young
But I feel old in the head

Yearbook writings
On truck stop stalls
Million dollar houses
With graffiti on the walls
Got a prom date ?
Slip a fifty in her dress
Buy a round of shots
That leave a hole in your chest

Believe me I know the deal
When they say you're only as young as you feel

They say that we are young
But I'm not having much fun .
The day has just begun
I feel like putting out the sun
Like a cheap cigarette and going back to bed
They say that we are young
But I feel old in the head

Spring break pictures
In funeral frames
Grabbing your diploma
As it goes up in flames
Health class babies
Turn from plastic to flesh
Used to sleeping in on Saturdays
Now there's no time to rest

Believe me I know the deal
When they say you're only as young as you feel

They say that we are young
But I'm not having much fun .
The day has just begun
I feel like putting out the sun
Like a cheap cigarette and going back to bed
They say that we are young
But I feel old in the head

Taking seven classes
Graduating to two
One is prom court
The other is huge
Used and abused
One is homecoming royalty
The other is huge
Used and abused
Power unused
Like me and you

They say that we are young
But I'm not having much fun .
The day has just begun
I feel like putting out the sun
Like a cheap cigarette and going back to bed
They say that we are young
But I feel old in the head
