http://www.SocialMediaVictories.com/ Patrick Schwerdtfeger discusses Facebook Groups and how to use them for business purposes. Facebook Groups are designed for multiple individuals who have similar interests. Connections with a Facebook Group are called "members". Groups are not limited to the number of members they can have. When you send a message to a group, if the group has less than 5,000 members, recipients receive it in the Facebook Inbox and they also get email notification. If the group has more than 5,000 members, recipients only receive the message in their Facebook Inbox but do NOT get email notification. This video was recorded on August 15, 2009 in Berkeley, CA. It was part of a full-day workshop entitled Social Media Victories Real Businesses, Real Campaigns, Real Results which focused on how entrepreneurs, small business owners and self-employed service professionals can leverage Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube to grow their businesses. Patrick is the author of Webify Your Business Internet Marketing Secrets for the Self-Employed (2009) as well as Make Yourself Useful Marketing in the 21st Century (2008). You can purchase the latest book on Amazon but you can also get it for free at the following website. http://www.WebifyBook.com/ By subscribing, you will receive one chapter via email each week for a year. You should know that the book also includes 6 chapters that are not in the email course and the book also has a step-by-step action guide at the end of each chapter. The email course does not have those itemized to-do lists. This video is about the right ways to leverage Facebook Groups for business and some of the features and specifications that make Facebook Groups different than Facebook Profiles or Facebook Pages. Patrick talks about the power available through the email functionality of a Facebook Group but it is important to understand that the email options are reduced once the Facebook Group has more than 5,000 members. Patrick is a sought-after professional speaker who has spoken in Canada, the United States, Europe and South America. He speaks about leadership on todays social internet, small business marketing and the opportunities of our changing information economy.
