Summary of Report: On average, Prince Edward Island welcomes 1400 newcomers every year. The bulk are economic immigrants, while the rest are family sponsored or refugees. For many of the newcomers, learning the language and the culture can be a challenge. The Island's churches are taking up that challenge, providing newcomers with a soft place to land.
