This scene, shot in macro 4k/UHD (rendered here in this demo reel at full HD) 4x time-lapse shows a Gulf Fritillary larva (caterpillar) suspended by its tail from a body part known as the "cremaster", which is like velcro sticking to the silk button (which the caterpillar spun earlier) on the twig, preparing to pupate into a chrysalis. This earlier part of the process is affectionately known as the "Flying-J".
