Countdown for New Year celebrations have begun in the city and the cops are prepared to ensure peaceful celebrations.

Heavy security cover is in place in and around Bengaluru. 

Over 10,000 police personnel, including women constables, will be deployed in and around the city to maintain law and order and prevent untoward incidents on the New Year eve.

5 addl commissioners, 15 DCPs, 45 ACPs, 220 inspectors to oversee security arrangements.

1,500 home guards, 1,000 civil defence personnel, 50 KSRP platoons, 30 DAR will be deployed.

Cops have also installed additional CCTVs, Watch towers.
