On-board the last virgin mk3 set train, from Birmingham International to Milton Keynes cntl. This train was the 13:30 from New street-Euston 9th January 2010. The video starts at Marston Green, where you see the mk3 set heading into New street, with a great crossover with a pendolino. The mk3 set then turned around to form my train back to MK and onwards to Euston. (In which time i'd caught a desiro down to Birmingham Intl.) After an engine change to EWS liveried 90039 the day before, the train was now operating in reverse formation. 1. Leaving Birmingham Intl (with a horn to the spotters on the platform) 2. Leaving Coventry 3. Approaching and Passing through Rugby (In some shots it can be seen, that it was actually snowing while we were passing through Rugby station!) 4. Going over Haversham viaduct, then shooting through Wolverton at over 100mph!! 5. Approach to Milton Keynes and pulling in. 6. The train then leaving non-stop to Euston.
