Inspired by Grant Thompson "The King of Random" my friend and I decided to try to make a BACKYARD MINI METAL FOUNDRY. Here we take you on a summarized step by step in making the Scrap Metal Foundry. 

BASE FOUNDRY: 
10 Qt. STEEL BUCKET
2.5 Qt plastic bucket
1 3/4 buckets (21 cups) of Plastic of Paris (equal part)
1 3/4 buckets (21 cups) Play Sand (equal part)
1 1/4 buckets (15 cups) Water
Channel Locks / Pliers

FOUNDRY LID
5 Qt Big Mouth Bucket (plastic) 
10 cups Plaster of Paris (equal part)
10 cups Play Sand (equal part)
7 cups of Water
4" U-bolts
3" hole saw

BLOWER TUBE
1" x 12" black gas pipe threaded
1" PVC Coupling (one side female threaded / one side slip)
1" x 24" PVC Pipe
1--used hair dryer to attach to the end of the blower tube
1-roll of duct tape to hold the hair dryer to the tube
1 3/8" Hole Saw (to cut through steel bucket approximatel 1 1/2" below top of plaster in bucket) Remember after you drill through the metal to drill through the plaster at a 30 degree angle.
