This was LJ's third goal, still the first half. Since I was concentrating so much on trying to convince him to stay in the game after each play, I missed filming his spectacular second goal. I explained to him earlier that the point of soccer was to kick the ball in your net while preventing the other team from kicking it in their net. Unfortunately LJ took this advice literally and ran to the goal he was supposed to defend and blocked it with his entire body (before the ball was even close). Obviously the other team couldn't score, but the coaches/refs weren't as amused as I was. He was undettered and took the ball he blocked all the way across the field to score his second goal.
