This handsome “shoebox” Ford wore these high impact colors with style and class, standard was slatted fender skirts, gold anodized script and beautiful that rounded out the custom look. 1950 the new Crestliner “sports sedan” was rolled out. It was a 2-door sedan with 2-tone paint intended to go head to head with Chevrolet’s popular hardtop coupes. The styling was similar to the previous year, with a single central “bullet” in the frowning chrome grille. In 1950 this Ford Crestliner was available in two color combinations, Coronation Red Metallic and Black or Sportsman’s Green and Black. This was Ford’s only two-tone vehicle in its line-up. Refinished in the correct brightly colored Sportman’s Green and black custom paint, this sedan shows extremely well. The correct black vinyl roof is also in very good condition. All the original trim is present, complete and brilliant. Under the hood you’ll find a smooth running 239ci Flat head V8 engine backed by 3 speed manual transmission.
