In his fifth video on the strategy surrounding development advantages, IM David Pruess tackles the gray area of "quality" of development. After explaining how passively placed pieces may not allow you to develop an initiative despite a development lead, he then presents a game in which Shirov manages to destroy an opponent with a minimal development lead, bc of the high quality placement of each piece.
