A few notes on the ride. It was slow and we stopped a ton. My speed sensor has been very wonky lately and the needle ballistics of the gauge don't really help. If it looks like we're moving fast and it says 15mph it's a safe bet that we're going 30 as the errors some to cut the speed in half. I think I might have fixed the speed sensor but I won't know til the next ride. I had two cameras, one on the stem, one on the left chain-stay. I also had an external mic in each location with a custom windscreen. They weren't totally mechanically isolated so there's still plenty of frame/road noises. Wind wasn't too bad but I still used a HPF and a LPF just to keep the audible stuff in the range of voices and general bike sounds. The rear camera had a smudge right in the center that was likely from being run over by a car up on Chantry when the camera vibrated from the mount while descending. I was able to clean it off later. I like that shot quite a bit and I think I refined the position on the Velo ride the next day. It's lightly more upward facing now without so much visible pavement. This was my third time on this ride. I was considerably more comfortable this time however the whole ride was pretty sedate. We hit so many lights that I edited out a few sections of stop/go/stop/go. I didn't really have a strategy and I don't know anyone on this ride so I just floated. Once we got to the dam I started trying to stay closer to the front so I could be able to suffer the harder parts and fall back while staying in the group.
