Wind Power Turbines in the Galapagos Islands

In the island of San Cristobal, in the Galapagos archipelago, three 800-kilowatt wind power turbines have recently been built atop of a hill. They will generate half the island's electricity and help the Galapagos reduce its reliance on diesel, which is   used in generators that provide power to the local residents.
