Wrongfully imprisoned attorney Lynne Stewart is at last freed from prison in Texas December 31, 2013 and arrives at LaGuardia Airport January 1, 2014 with her husband Ralph Poynter to a cheering, loving crowd of family, friends, supporters. She responds thoughtfully to several Pacifica newscasters, particularly Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! along with Mimi Rosenberg and Sally O'Brien. Her compassionate release was result of prison authorities deciding her advanced breast, lung, and bone cancer left her less than 18 months of life and U.S. District Court Judge John G. Koeltl responding very quickly reducing her sentence to time served. Hopefully she may discover Rick Simpson's cancer curing cannabis oil and travel to a state where it's legal for treatment, like Maine. video by Joe Friendly
