Both Lillian Lane & Buddy Stewart had been apart of The Snowflakes , who were featured with Claude Thornhill & his Orchestra in 1942. It's interesting that both Thornhill and Krupa had recording contracts with Columbia Records. This is what probably prompted the name change for the vocal group.
