The halftime contest at the "Battle of 270," a rivalry game between Montgomery College - Rockville and Montgomery College - Germantown, featured a handful of students who attempted half court shots for a scholarship to cover this semester's tuition.  

After making his shot, Ricky had this to say, "I had confidence, I played basketball, so, I just made the best of my opportunity ... I wasn't nervous at all ...  My family will be excited, everyone knows I can do it.  I did it, free school."
