Beach at the north of Sopot by bicycle

There is a wonderful cycle way along the coast between Gdańsk and Sopot although it is very busy and certainly not suited to fast cycling because of the amount of cyclists and roller bladers! The cycle way is under construction further north but as can be seen here there is no possibility of continuing it further north because the beach ends where the land starts to go up. I did cycle though the forest - or rather attempt it. I gave up when I almost fell off the bike. Something I learned yesterday. You need your saddle in a different position for the road as you do for cross country. In the latter you need to use your feet - my saddle is positioned high to get maximum force possible on the pedals but it also means that I cannot touch the ground without jumping off the saddle first - not always possible if you have already started to fall down the hillside!!
