Tour Scotland Autumn travel video of the Harry Potter steam train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct on the West Highland railway line on ancestry to the Scottish Highlands. The West Highland Line runs from Glasgow to Fort William, the largest town in the West Highlands of Scotland, and onwards to Mallaig, a tiny fishing port and terminal for the ferry to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. Most of the line is a twisting single track railway through fabulous Highland scenery, often miles from the nearest road. Glenfinnan Viaduct has been used as a location in several films and television series, including Ring of Bright Water, Charlotte Gray, Monarch of the Glen, Stone of Destiny, and three films of the Harry Potter film series.
