Space Shuttle Endeavour's carrier had a hydraulic breakdown in the Crenshaw District (to some of you, South Central) between the Louisiana Fried Chicken and the Crenshaw Plaza on October 13, 2012, on its way to the California Science Center. It may have been a stumbling block to the California Science Center, but it was an opportunity for the people of the Crenshaw District (and other areas, near and far) to view it up close before it was placed in its new home at the Science Center in Exposition Park. I heard it was rolling through and was stuck, so I took the opportunity to spend some time with my beloved Shuttle. Its presence brought people together of all races, colors, and walks of life and everyone was having a good time spending time and taking photos of the beautiful machine.
