This clip introduces entrepreneur and budding farmer veteran Cindy Seymour, at Serenity for Women, in Syracuse, NY. A center for homeless women veterans that includes growing food as part of their supporting programs. Cindy hopes to grow the entity to encompass more aspects of hands on activities for women veterans, that would help in the healing and transition aspects of returning to civilian life. This clip was produced by Farm OPS (http://smallfarms.cornell.edu/projects/farm-ops/), part of the Cornell Small Farms Program. Filmed and edited by Jamie Johnson of Ithaca, NY. This material is based upon work that is supported by the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture, under award number 2015-70017-22882; “Strategic Investments to Ensure Long‐Term Success of Veteran‐Owned and Advanced Beginning Farms”.
