MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer something not very few people have ever seen in person; the 2001 Ford Explorer Sportsman Concept – the ULTIMATE angler’s dream vehicle! This very special Explorer was designed to fulfill the hopes and dreams of a fisherman. This awesome and outdoorsy SUV is complete with a roof rack, Blondewood veneer accents, GPS screen and even a 30 gallon live fish well tank!

This SUV is a concept vehicle; meaning it was built to showcase new styling, design and technology. They are often shown at automotive shows to gauge customer reaction to new and sometimes radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced.

As this SUV is a concept vehicle, it does not have a VIN and is NOT street legal. The Explorer is NOT DOT or EPA Certified and it cannot be registered for highway use in the United States. However, if you have a lake house, farm or ranch and want to impress your guests with a vehicle no one else has, this is your ticket. Great for any collection and sure to go up in value!

Finished in a handsome shade of low gloss, satin metallic green with a silver roof, the paint is in great condition. It does show some very small signs of imperfection, likely from being shown. All of the chrome, including the front and rear skid plates, has a satin finish and looks great. Beneath the front skid plate is a winch. The hood and grill are integrated together and look great. There is a roof rack to hold all of your gear and there are also three panels on the roof that are all removable to let the great outdoors in!

Inside, the interior is simple yet sophisticated and futuristic. The interior is in fantastic shape throughout. The seats are wrapped in tan pebble woven leather that looks spectacular. The door panels match the seats and are in comparable condition. The dashboard is accented with Blondewood veneer. There is a large under dash shelf for storage of all things angling. The interior is also decked out with plenty of billet that looks great. In addition to the entire stunning interior, there are plenty of awesome custom additions for any fisherman, such as a GPS screen, a 30 gallon live fish tank with a clean air filter that locks into place and automatic running boards that open to store fishing poles! Awesome!

Under the hood, you’ll find an Inline 4 Cylinder Mazda engine mated to an automatic transmission.  It is equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes.  The SUV sits upon a set of 17” custom alloy Ford 5-spoke wheels wrapped snug in a set of LT285/65R17 Goodyear prototype tires. No one else has this vehicle on the planet! Ford set out to build the ultimate outdoor SUV and now you can be the owner of this once in a lifetime opportunity!

As mentioned before, this vehicle does NOT have a VIN number and cannot be registered for highway use in the United States as it is not DOT or EPA Certified.
