steve harter's crossroads II is a commodore 64 game that (like its predecessor, crossroads) was first published as printed code in compute!'s gazette, a monthly c64 magazine full of type-in games. by typing in the code, character by character, readers could summon these games into their own computers. crossroads II riffs off of wizard of wor, but in these larger, more populated mazes the player is just another creature, each of whom roams the maze, attacks its enemies, and collects power-ups. often, pitting rival monsters against each other is the only way to ensure survival.
