Just something amusing from the Phantasy Star 4 proto's May 30th version. When you go to the Mile student's house and speak with him he's annoyed that you are disrupting his entrance exam studies. Here he calls the whole party "Ladies" much to Alys' confusion. In the final he simply tells you to stop bothering him. To which Alys replies "Kids..."

I'm not sure what the purpose of the change was, as the proto's version is pretty amusing. But since I don't know what was in the Japanese version I can't say which, if any, was the genuine quote. It may have been a joke that really couldn't be translated properly into English (such as Raja's joke when you first leave his temple). I thought maybe it was a little stab at the mistake in the English translation of the first Phantasy Star, where the Governor calls Noah "she". However, the NPC's quote is not dependent on Rune being in your party. So if that was the whole point here it really doesn't work at all. Too bad as it would have been an amusing little easter egg.
